Who we are

What we collect

When you send us a message or a booking enquiry, we keep what you typed — your name, phone number, email address and the message itself — so we can reply and hold your reservation.

If you leave a comment on the site, we also collect your IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymised hash of your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check for a profile picture; their privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy. Comments may be checked by an automated spam-detection service.

Photos you upload

If you upload images to the website, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images and extract any location data inside them.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to cookies that save your name, email and website — a convenience so you don't retype them next time. These keep for about a year. If you log in (staff accounts), login and screen-preference cookies apply for up to two weeks; logging out removes them.

Content from other sites

Pages here may embed content from other websites — a map, a video. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that website: it may collect data about you, use its own cookies, and track your interaction with it.

How long we keep things

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-ups can be approved automatically. For users who register on the site (if any), the profile information they provide is stored and can be seen, edited or deleted by them at any time — usernames excepted. Administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your rights

You can ask for an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, and you can ask us to erase it. This does not cover data we must keep for administrative, legal or security reasons. Ask at contact@sangamhotel.com.
