Late Shri Madhuanna Kulkarni founder of The Sangam Group of Buisness, started his ventures in the year 1952 at Karad.  He started out with one Petrol Pump in 1952.  With his hard work & dedication he quickly expanded it to 4 Petrol Pumps, 2 Kerosene agencies, LPG agencies & as a diversification in 1974, he built Hotel Sangam.  The Hotel located on National Highway no.4 caters highway travellers, tourists & Karad citizens. The Sangam Group has come into existence because of Madhuanna's vision.  He has played a vital role in developing it.  The Kulkarni family now is mainly known for its Hospitality business, Petrol Pump, Oil , Gas Distributorship, Kerosene agencies of former Burma Shell now Bharat petroleum corporation, one of the major oil companies of India.

Our Tradition Speaks For Us

Karad famous for PritiSangam, union of two rivers Koyna and Krishna.  Karad and Hotel sangam is situated on National Highway 4 (Mumbai to  Bangalore).  Karad is famous for educational colleges and institutes in the field of Engineering, Medical, Polytechnic, Science, Commerce, Art colleges. There are three sugar factories around Karad giving boost to the Agriculture & Economy.  Karad is mainly a trading centre having strong network of Banking, Agriculture and Commerce.

Hotel Sangam is the first tourist hotel of our area.  It is situated on main junction, at the entrance of Karad from the National Highway.  Hotel Sangam has completed 35 years in the Hospitality Business. We thank our valuable customers for helping us achieve this feat.

Large numbers of Highway Users, Businessmen as well as tourists including many foreigners have been patronizing the hotel for last many years.  Hotel Sangam is centrally located from these famous locations: Battis-Shirala(Naga Panchami Festival Of Serpants), Kolhapur(Holy Mahalaxmi Temple), Mahabaleshwar & Panchgani (Hill Station), Koyana Dam(Lush Green Forests & Waterfalls).  The Hotel is only 3 hours drive from Pune & 4 hours drive from Belgaun.
